The Freie Kita Schneckenhaus is a small day- and after school-care taking children from age two to ten and existing for 27 years now. A few month back a group of parents and staff members started to discuss if and how a school could become part of the successfully existing institution. To give children of all ages the opportunity to learn at their own pace, in a familiar surrounding and mixed age group. Where decisions are made by children and staff members together and acquiring intellectual, practical or social skills is equally valued.
Visitors interested in the Schneckenhaus are welcome most time of year and short-time home stay can be arranged. We are happy to share with you our experiences with an open work concept and a voluntarily organized institution and we would like to learn everything about your school.
